I can't believe that it's been 10 years already.
For those of you that don't know, it's a bit of a joke that my husband and I have 2 wedding anniversaries.
The first is September 13th when we were legally married. We had our wedding planned for October 5th and when we went to the Justice of the Peace to fill out the paperwork, she said she could not come to the wedding and would only perform it at the Courthouse. So we dropped everything and went up the Courthouse to fill out the paperwork, perform the boring ceremony and make it legal. I then left to drive to my mother-in-laws for my bridal shower. We don't celebrate the date of the 13th (and good thing because my sister & brother in law were married on that date years later)...... we have always celebrate our wedding date of October 5th.
It was a very unique ceremony that I had planned myself and I wasn't going to let a grouchy JP throw it off. There would be plenty of other things that would and could go wrong on the wedding day, she wasn't going to ruin mine.
