Artist zone

So I'd have to say I'm a vinyl addict.
Ever since I found I could cut it with my cutting machines, I have tried many projects with it.
It is so easy to cut & work with - one of my favorites to use in home decor projects.

Here is my black vinyl on my 12" x 24" Silhouette Cameo cutting mat.
I had purchased a bulk roll of black vinyl when I was tasked with a big project a few years ago.
Since then we have moved twice and it has been subjected to both extreme cold & hot temperatures. It does effect your vinyl!!
The backing is hard to get started & continue to get it to separate from the vinyl.
However, that does not stop me.... I push on through & just work it out.
Otherwise, the vinyl seems to work well for me.

I was looking for something very specific when I chose the script.
I wanted it to be neat, but not have harsh straight lines.
It is an Artiste corner, so I wanted it to have some creative flair.
When I saw this, I knew it was perfect for the corner.
I imported it into my Silhouette software, traced the words and then I ended up editing the points to get it just how I wanted it.

Here I've placed it on the wall to see how it would all line up before I smoothed it out & peeled off the contact paper.

I love it!

And then hung a few strings to add clothespins to for their pictures to hang from.
FYI: there was a time lapse in this photo and the final photo, as I still had to organize the rest of the corner.... I forgot to take that messy photo.

And here is my children's Artiste corner. A desk for my daughter to do homework at and a place to hang all the wonderful drawings that my 3 kids create.

If you look real close in the bottom left of the photo above, you can catch a glimpse of a Super Hero who had stopped to look at what I was taking a picture of.....
You are lucky to get this rare sighting & I'm shocked that you can even see her in it, as she was screaming "I am the Flash" the next second and running past me.

There are so many projects on my to-do list, but this one can be crossed off.
My goal is to ask them at the end of each month, which ones they would like to keep & then recycle the rest.
I will of course take photos of a majority of them, but I cannot keep all of the creations.

Enjoy!
Be Blessed!
