I posted a teaser in an earlier post showing some cards that I completed on craft night last Friday.
Even though I had 20 cards put together, I still had some finishing touches I wanted to do.
I took an idea I saw in the Spring/Summer 2014 catalog and used some paper that has been in my stash for several years.
So now here are my finished cards.....
I thought the cards just needed a few additional touches. I used VersaMark Ink & used the small heart stamp from the Cutie Pie stamp set and stamped along the solid green strip to make it pop. Then I added the faux ribbon strips along the edge of the card. Then I pulled out some Stickles that have been sitting in my stash for.... Well, who knows.....
I am thinking I may have to invest in some of the neat little adhesive sequins that you see in the example. But, for now, I'm just going to pat myself on the back for using some of my supplies.
I used 2 stamp sets from Close to My Heart - Cutie Pie set, which was the December Stamp of the Month and Holiday Tags set.
I can't wait until I get a chance to play with the Cricut cartridge that coordinates with this Holiday Tags set. My goal is to borrow one & cut a bunch of shapes then stamp them for future card making.
You can check out all these neat products at Rachel's website HERE.
I met Rachel through Facebook & only knew her that way for almost a year after moving to CA. I had been trying to make it to her monthly crops for that entire year, but pregnancy & baby had other plans. We finally met face to face unexpectedly at a vendor event in May of this year & I have tried to make it to all of her monthly crops since..... Seeing her products, ideas & others at the crop has renewed a creative bug.
Unfortunately, there are just not enough hours in the day to craft.... If only I didn't need sleep :)
Have a great day & thanks for reading!
