First digi-layout of 2015

I just completed my first digi layout of 2015....

I have to admit, I was not feeling very inspired....

It had nothing to do with the kit, it is gorgeous....

Morning Mist by Studio4 Designworks available at the Digital Scrapbooking Studio

They have this amazing collection of coordinating packs called Morning Mist that I have to admit, I'm scared to go view because it may all end up in my stash.

Really, I've heard the buzz on FB about this collection & I just clicked to put the link in..... 

I tried not to peek, but the window is still open & I think I'll have to go look.....

Help me!

Ok - back to it....

I really was not feeling the creative "mojo".

I'm not sure where it went, but I sure want it back. 

I had this video class going on my computer from CreativeLive.com about Advanced Digital Scrapbooking with Traci Reed.

I have missed most of the class, but get to catch bits & pieces here and there, when my kids & priorities allow....

Amazing! I can't wait for the re-broadcast of it, hopefully I will not have things going on at that time.

But, while this is playing.... something just hit me & things started to fall into place on the page. 

Before I knew it this was what I came up with....

Now, I'll tell you right out... this was not how I designed the layout to start.....

Isn't that how most things are.

In my world, the vision in my head is not how it ends up.....

That's why I leave the big handy projects to my hubby.

This is how I created the design

And then I thought to just flip it... add a little more into the corner & it seemed to be perfect.
I just had to find the right photo - which isn't too hard with my 3 kids, but can be time consuming, picking which one I want to use.
