Another Valentine's craft.....

I showed you a sneak peak at the idea I found on pinterest to make a Valentine's garland HERE.

Well, here is my version....

 The players....
Red, Pink and White felt
Templates for X's, O's and Hearts cut with the Cricut machine.

After cutting out the X's, O's and Hearts seen here, I had the strange desire to:
A - not want to waste the scraps of the pieces I cut
B - thought my hand didn't hurt enough
C - I had an over abundance of time.....
Right!!
So I cut out all those little tiny hearts from the scraps that were left over... My first thought was my daughter would love them and then I had the thought I could make them into a mini-garland string...
Ha! We'll see....
Then I had another strange idea.... I thought that couldn't be enough X's, O's and Hearts....
So I cut more... which created more tiny little scraps....
Why?
I don't know - I'll blame it on Mommy brain.

Well, I only needed 90 inches of garland for the mantel.... craziness took over and the two little piles below are the "extras".

I still need to decide what to do with them.
Make garland for somewhere else in the house? The entire house? Wrap the house in it.
A couple shirts for the kids?
(If I can ever find their sizes in the right colors... plain shirts are hard to find.)
Who knows? Guess you'll see later..... maybe.

And here is the garland strung up... It needs a bit of tweeking.... maybe I'll sew a new one, now that I know what I'm doing (ha)... and just add to this to put it on the stairs, where no one will look too close at it.....
The hardest part is getting it to hang in a eye pleasing way.

Well, off to my next craft project on the list... which is every changing and growing....
What have you crafted lately?
