Clean Up - Clean Up - It's Time to Clean Up

This is heard around my house probably not as often as it should be... 

but, I have a 3.5 year old & an 19 month old..... 

What's the point? Most days it's just wasted energy...

LOL!

When I saw this kit I knew I had the photos for it... in fact, I had just taken the photos that morning. I wish I could say that I had to wait for the opportunity, but well it happens every day.

And, I have many more that could be used with it to prove it. 

And that I have started trying a new cleaning calendar - see HERE for that update.

For those that are interested here are the photos I used....

 

Can you see the toy box in the background... that big toy box.... and can you see inside it.... well, pretty much you can almost see through it. My kids think it's fun to get inside and empty it completely out..... I have tried to discourage this, but again...wasted energy.

So they are learning how to put everything back into it after the point someone gets tired of seeing it on the floor or something gets broken and we have to throw it away.

Some days I wish I could say that I was one of those Mom's that has her kids put things away before they go to bed, but I'm not... for many reasons.... the biggest being that the kids realized this and decided it would be a great stall tactic and get to delay bedtime.

So as long as we have a path to get through to the kitchen, most days I'm ok with it.... and it doesn't usually look this bad.

 Now this is the after photo.... not much different... we have a lot of toys....

However, you can at least see more of the carpet. 

And that is my son... who I am pretty sure is contemplating the best way to make a mess of everything in the shortest amount of time possible. 

So here is a photo documenting how it can look picked up.... at least for 3-5 minutes or longer if we leave the house immediately after cleaning.
