Hello 2013

I am making a list of goals for 2013... it's not done yet, but keeps getting added too!
I am trying to be realistic about it!

My first goal is I am going to try this out:
Found on pinterest here: http://pinterest.com/pin/29484572532449612/

(Note: not everything on pinterest has to be something to make or do - LOL
Sometimes it can be for inspiration - now your probably shaking your head because this is still "doing" something, BUT it is a "something" I would have to do at some point anyhow - CLEANING)

I started doing the daily things last week for a couple days and I was amazed at how much of a difference it made.
Just getting up in the morning and not seeing the sink overloaded with dishes was like lifting a burden off my shoulders. I don't particularly like dishes and most times don't feel like doing them after dinner, once I've cooked and fed the family. But, I am trying to do it a little at a time and it seems to be helping.

Today was my first day doing the daily chore.... whew! All I can say is it's done.
One thing I have thought about is that even though it says vacuum on Mondays.... that doesn't mean I will necessarily do my whole house. Today I did and let me tell you the stairs were the easiest part :-)
We rarely spend a lot of time upstairs, so I don't think it will need to be done every Monday. (Believe me, just doing it weekly is an improvement over how it was previously handled by the maid.
That slacker.... Usually it was a last minute chore before someone came over to visit.)
Same thing with some of the rest of the weekly & swing day chores - not all of them need to be done weekly, but hit the high traffic areas at least.

However, today I thought I'd kick it off with getting everything vacuumed.
Hopefully, hubby will notice that there is no longer cat puke in his slippers - "Your welcome"
Our cat seems to be bulimic and this is a regular occurrence.... so spot cleaning happens a lot around here.

So tomorrow the list says "Clean mirrors & windows" - I think I can handle this. Prepare the Windex and the paper towels. Hopefully, K let's me clean up some of the windows. We purchased some window markers a few weeks ago & she loves them, but doesn't like us erasing anything. I keep trying to convince her that she gets to draw new things if we clear some of the window space. Reasoning with a 3 year old doesn't always end well.....

Some of my other goals are:
Blogging more - at least once a week, even if it's just a weekly blurb to show off my CT or personal digi-scrapbooking layouts
Trying to do a Project 365/52 - at least getting a few layouts done for the month, so by the end of the year there is something of a book to print for everyone to look at. (I'm still working on the book for the 2nd half of 2010 - hoping this will keep me a little more current.)
Working on the menu planning again - this one is hard when nothing sounds good because of my preggo state.... (it was pretty simple/easy when I had it going & we succeeded for about 2 rounds: ie 10 weeks).

As hubby and I were getting ready for bed last night I told him of my plan.... I said that hopefully I can start this and it will make my life easier..... at least until the baby is born.... and then I can fully imagine that there will be no rhyme or reason to why I do things in my sleep deprived state of mind. But until the end of April/beginning of May when Elayna Danielle joins our family I am striving towards doing this.

Well.... Hello 2013.... Working towards less stress & more laughs in this New Year!
