Graduation card

Our neighbor graduated from 6th grade this year and of course, I'd seen a "cool" idea on Pinterest that I just had to try... Well I combined a few ideas....
Find the idea HERE and HERE
And HERE is the link to the instructions/dimensions I used for the card....

I had a baseball brad in my stash & she is a big softball player, so I took out some alcohol markers and colored it to look like a softball. I made the tassel out of some white cross-stitch thread and attached it with the brad. The eagle was an image I found online & then traced & cut out of vinyl on my Silhouette machine. Our mascot for the Elementary is the eagles, where she has spent the past 7 years of her schooling.

On the inside I attached the poem from Dr. Seuss that I printed on white cardstock. And then put a Target gift card inside the little pocket created with the card.

I love being able to find all kinds of creative ideas on Pinterest.
It is definitely somewhere you can get sucked in to and find the hours slipping away, but I have to say, I have found a lot of neat ideas that I have tried on there....
Check out my Pinterest board and search for my Pins Done category.

Have a great day!
